A small 2 year-old boy with big brown eyes and a winning smile was hit and killed in a Chick-fil-A drive through restaurant in Oklahoma, police said.

Officers released few details, except that the boy was walking before noon with his parents when he was hit. He died at a nearby hospital of his injuries.

"The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and our dedicated team of investigators will thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the incident," police in Yukon, Okla., wrote on Facebook. "As part of the investigation, the driver of the vehicle involved will be interviewed to gather further information."

They added that "any witnesses or individuals with additional information regarding the collision are encouraged to contact the Yukon Police by phone (405) 354-2553 with any relevant details."

A Go Fund Me started by the victim's aunt has raised nearly $18,000 for funeral expenses.

"My sister's son got run over at a chick-fi-la drive thru as they where crossing after dining in.. unfortunately my nephew didn’t make it and passed away on the scene. He was only 2 years old. Too small to (go) but too mighty for this world.. anything would help my sister and my brother in law as they have to go through something no parents should ever go through," the boy's aunt wrote.

Julie Haynes offered on Facebook, "Prayers for everyone. The baby, the parents, and the driver. Such a sad tragedy."
