"Seasonal Affective Disorder" is a condition brought upon by the change in season that can often leave us feeling anxious, unfocused, and generally a little sad.
Scientists have found a way to help stave off the effects of SAD however, and it involves everyone's favorite morning pick-me-up: a nice cup of coffee.
A study conducted by the Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee has found that drinking coffee can help with the effects of SAD. In fact, according to Eat This, 21% of people said coffee helps them concentrate, 20% said it improves their mood in general, and 29% said it makes them feel more energetic.
A separate study from 2010 found that a cup of coffee every four hours can help improve your mood.
