Yesterday, the internet celebrated International Dinosaur Day. Sounds fantastic, right? Pick your fighter: brontosaurus T-Rex. Turns out that for many folks, it's not a day to look back at history thousands of years ago.
Believe it or not, there are plenty of folks who still believe that dinosaurs are roaming the Earth.
In fact, a study collected by SWNS Digital found that HALF of all Americans still believe dinosaurs exist in some remote part of the world.
The survey also found that:
-One in five adults think dinosaurs were still roaming the Earth in large numbers 100 years ago. But fossil records put it at more like 65 MILLION years.
-54% think they only lived in Africa and North America. But their bones have been found all over the world.
-The average adult can name four different dinosaurs. T-rexes are #1. 47% couldn't identify a triceratops.
