An assault investigation in Clawson led police to the discovery of a homicide victim.
In a statement from police, officers were called to a home on Nakota Street, early this morning around 12:30am, after a man broke into the home and attacked someone inside with a beer bottle, causing injury.
When police arrived they found the suspect leaving the home, and he was arrested.
Comments from the suspect then led officers to the man's home where police say they found the body of another man -- that 37-year-old Clawson man had been shot to death.

An investigation is ongoing -- though police believe there are no additional threats to the public, and the only suspect is in custody.
