Much to the chagrin of his political opponents, President Joe Biden took to social media on Sunday night after the Super Bowl to troll MAGA Republicans that had sparked conspiracy theories around the game.
In the weeks leading up to the big game, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs win their second consecutive Super Bowl, several theories sprouted online that the game would be rigged for them to win so that Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, could offer an endorsement for Biden on TV.
“Just like we drew it up,” Biden wrote on X with a picture of the “Dark Brandon” meme, which shows the president shooting lasers out of his eyes.
Extra eyes were on the Super Bowl this year as a swath of new fans came to the game following the news earlier this season that Kelce and Swift had started dating.
The musician, and arguably the most famous person in the world, was seen at 13 games this year and became a major talking point after she continued to make brief appearances during television broadcasts.
After winning the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens, social media was flooded with conspiracy theories surrounding Swift, the NFL, and the Democratic Party.
The main factor in the theories was a New York Times report that said Biden was seeking an endorsement from Swift in the upcoming election.
However, the theories proved to be nothing more than that as Swift didn’t share her support for Biden on Sunday night, only kisses and hugs for her boyfriend.
