On Thursday Medical City Healthcare issued a statement that shows the child who had been hospitalized at Medical City Children's Hospital is no longer a patient.

Services for the Cho family are scheduled for a private service in Carrollton.

Six-year old William Cho was the only child who had been hospitalized after the shooting and his condition had shown steady improvement since Saturday's shooting.

Cho's younger brother, his father and his mother were all murdered before the gunman was killed. Police reports say the mother was curled around William to protect him.

Friends of the Cho family are still in disbelief.  Lydia Maftari, owner of Eddie’s Diner in Plano, says the Cho family was at their restaurant nearly every weekend.

“They were so well-mannered and really sweet and they were always really kind to the staff and ultra-patient with the kids,” said Maftari.

A native or Chicagoland, Maftari was at O’Hare International Airport when she got the text that the family had been killed.

“I just broke down in tears and was shocked,” she said.  “It was a different kind of hurt when you had interactions with these customers on a regular basis.”

She said both parents were devoted to their children.  They spent time at the table talking with one another.  Nobody was on a cell phone.

There was more improvement with other hospitalized victims.  Medical City says nobody is listed in critical condition.  All of  the remaining patients are in good or fair condition.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has not provided any updates since Tuesday, when a regional director said gunman Mauricio Garcia appeared to have acted alone and randomly selected his victims.  Although he had shown support for neo-Nazi groups, authorities still have not released any motive for the attack.  Police say Garcia killed eight and wounded seven before an Allen Police officer shot him dead.
