Former President Donald Trump has once again turned himself over to the authorities, this time for his fourth indictment in connection to his efforts to overturn election results in Georgia.
According to the Fulton County booking system, Trump is 215 pounds, 6' 3" and has blue eyes as well as “blonde or strawberry” hair. However, The Hill said that Trump apparently self reported his weight.
The former President and leading 2024 GOP nominee candidate arrived in Fulton County a day before the deadline to turn himself over. Sources told CNN Trump covered the cost of his $200,000 bond by putting 10% toward it and working with a local Atlanta bonding company Foster Bail Bonds LLC.
District Attorney Fani Willis is the lead prosecutor on the case, charging Trump along with 18 others under the state’s Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law, along with other charges.
Trump has shared his displeasure with the fourth case brought against him, sharing on his social media platform TruthSocial that it was unjust.
“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History,” Trump wrote in one post. He also made comments about the murder rate in Atlanta shortly before CNN reported that he had departed New Jersey for Georgia.
Willis has responded to the outcry she has received for bringing charges against Trump, sharing with Audacy in Atlanta that it’s her job to do so.
“There’s really nothing sexy about this. The reality is, as a prosecutor, you have a job to do, and your job is to look at the facts if there’s allegations of a crime and then to look at the law,” Willis said. “If the facts bear out that the law has been broken, then we have a duty and responsibility to bring charges.”
Others charged alongside Trump have also turned themselves in, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Guliani, former Trump attorney John Eastman, and more.
While inside the Fulton County Jail, Trump had his mugshot and fingerprints taken while being booked and was then released on a $200,000 bond. He was headed back to his plane by 8 p.m. ET.
