It was around 6 p.m. Saturday when Lachelle Jordan, a 30-year-old Emergency Medical Technician from Cleveland, Ohio, went to get something from her car. She hasn’t been seen since.
Where did the mother vanish to? A local Crime Stoppers group is offering $5,000 for information in the event that her disappearance is linked with criminal activity.
According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, Jordan’s car was parked on the 1600 block of Fairport Avenue in Cleveland. When she went out, the 5’2", 150 pound woman was wearing a blue and white Cleveland Fire Department sweatshirt, green and white pants and rainbow Croc shoes.
Just two days before she went missing, Jordan told the Cleveland Police Department that she had “fears for her safety” News 5 Cleveland reported. In fact, the outlet said Jordan told police at least three times that she was being stalked.
She told authorities that 65-year-old Michael Stennett “was watching her from his vehicle” last Thursday morning when she left the same home she was parked in front of Saturday.
Stennett – who was charged with two counts of rape and one count of abduction in May 2022 – was charged with one felony count of menacing by stalking and one felony count of violating a protection order while committing a felony Monday. Jordan was set to appear at a pretrial hearing in connection with his recent charges.
Last month, Jordan also filed a police report about being stalked by a female friend of Stennett’s. She said this woman appeared as she was responding to an emergency call.
“She said the woman followed her on the freeway as she was leaving work and tried to run her off the road until Jordan pulled into the Third District precinct,” according to the News 5 report. “She said the woman's motive was that Jordan ‘not testify’ in Stennett’s rape case.”
Jordan’s father, Joe, and other family members appeared at a press conference Thursday. It was carried by 3News.
“I have to believe the process will work,” Jordan’s father said of the police investigation into the disappearance. Her family also said they want’s Lachelle to come home safe and urged people to reach out if they have information.
