Flight delayed after crew fights

An argument about first-class seating procedures got so intense on one SkyWest Airlines flight that it caused at least an hour-long delay before takeoff, according to data from FlightAware.

The fight began when one of the first-class passengers on the flight from Los Angeles to Houston, ESPN anchor Ashley Brewer, asked if she could switch seats with a passenger in coach in order to sit next to her husband.

A male flight attendant gave her permission to change seats, but she was then told by a female flight attendant that switching seats is against a SkyWest Airlines policy.

The differing opinions led to an argument between the two attendants, who then refused to work with each other.

“For some reason the flight attendants were not fine, and they kept bickering and going back and forth in the middle of the aisle about the rules, what was right and what was wrong,” Brewer told The Hill. “They just had some beef or something, so they kept going back and forth and he started yelling at her. He was really, like, out of line. He should not have done that.”

Both subsequently exited the plane after the female attendant was brought to tears, leaving the flight two attendants short, according to Brewer.

The flight was then delayed until replacement attendants could arrive and take their places.
