In recent weeks Mr. Obama has been at his home on the posh island, but now he is expected to be joined by dozens of friends at his oceanside property.

"It's going to be big," one source told The Hill.

The Hill reported that the guest list would include the likes of Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, to name just a few A-listers.

Before the party, guests will need to have a negative COVID-19 test.

The former president turns 60 on August 4.

This won't be the first milestone birthday party Obama has thrown. In 2011 he turned 50 at the White House and had guests from Jay-Z to Charles Barkley.

The former president's spokeswoman did not respond to a request for comment.
