On Monday, Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto shared that he nearly died after being hospitalized for weeks with a severe case of COVID-19.

Cavuto has expressed his support for COVID-19 vaccines and has been vaccinated. He is also immunocompromised.

The anchor had contracted the virus in October, and at the time, he shared that had he not been vaccinated, it could have been far worse with his medical issues.

Cavuto has been upfront about his nearly 25-year battle with multiple sclerosis and his fight against cancer, citing both as reasons to get the shot.

However, his COVID-19 symptoms were not as mild this time around as he said he had a "far, far more serious strand" because his "very compromised immune system" has not had the same response to the shot as a healthy immune system would.

The symptoms of his case resulted in Cavuto having pneumonia and being put in "intensive care for quite a while."

Cavuto shared that "it was really touch and go" on his Monday Fox Business show.

"Some of you who've wanted to put me out of my misery darn near got what you wished for," Cavuto said. "So sorry to disappoint you!"

Continuing, he said, "Let me be clear: Doctors say had I not been vaccinated at all, I wouldn't be here."
