NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A jury ruled that former president Donald Trump must pay columnist E. Jean Carroll a total of $83.3 million in damages for defamation.

The breakdown is $65 million in punitive damages and $18.3 million in compensatory damages.

Jurors began deliberations Friday in the defamation trial, deciding whether Trump owes Carroll more than the $5 million awarded by another jury that last year concluded he sexually abused her in 1996 and defamed her in 2022.
