Pittsburgh Environmental Service workers got an unexpected surprise Tuesday morning in the Mt. Oliver section of the city.

According the KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin, a garbage trucked pulled up to a “pile of trash” on Amanda Street.

They found what they thought was a body face down in the trash.

The man was so out of it, workers thought he was dead and called homicide detectives.

When detectives arrived, they found that the man was in fact alive, but was “drunk out of his mind.”

It was suggested the man be admitted to the hospital. No other details were made available.
