PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A drugmaker in North Jersey is recalling nearly 90,000 bottles of children’s liquid ibuprofen because they could have foreign substances in them.
The FDA issued the nationwide recall for 4-ounce bottles of Children’s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension. They have lot numbers 7261973A and 7261974A and an expiration date of Jan. 31, 2027.
The FDA says there have been reports of a gel-like mass and black particles in the medicine.
The drug was made by Strides Pharma in Bridgewater and sold under the brand name Taro Pharmaceuticals.
If you have any of it, officials say you should stop using it immediately.
