Parking tickets got you in a sticky situation? Driving you nuts? Got you jammed up? Perhaps your holiday shopping has creamed your bank account. You want to make good, and you’re asking, “But‘er other options on the table?”
Well if those parking citations are from New Mexico State University, don’t chunk them out the window. They’ve got good news. You can pay off those outstanding tickets in a jiffy… with peanut butter.
From November 29 to December 3, NMSU will accept payment in peanut butter to help stock up the Aggie Cupboard food pantry, which provides free supplementary food to the college community.
One citation will coast about 80 ounces of peanut butter.
That’s about five or six small jars per ticket. The jars can be brought to the “Parking and ID Card Services” office on the second floor of the campus bookstore.
The offer is limited to one “no current permit” parking citation per person and is not valid for any other violations.
The university announced the promotion through a news release and says it will run the program again in the spring semester. For additional information, click on park.nmsu.edu.
