Bodycam footage released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows a driver being saved during a traffic stop from choking on a bag of marijuana by a trooper.
The driver allegedly attempted to swallow the bag of narcotics after an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper pulled him over for speeding.
In the dashcam footage, Trooper Charles Hoskin can be seen realizing the driver can’t breathe as he helped him out of the car and began performing the Heimlich maneuver.
After the driver regained his composure, Hoskin asked him if the minor misdemeanor was worth his life.
“You want to die over a minor misdemeanor,” Hoskin asked. The driver replied, “No.”
The man was cited for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt; he was also charged with a misdemeanor for the alleged drugs.
