It's bad enough that many airlines are adding more seats to coach, and those seats are getting more cramped.
Now, one airline may be adding insult to injury -- by weighing its passengers at the gate.
The airline says these weigh-ins are voluntary and anonymous.
The purpose of using the scales, according to the airline, is to make sure it can set the proper weight loads for passengers, bags, fuel and cargo prior to takeoff.
