Kennedy cousin Jack Schlossberg, daughter of Caroline Kennedy, grandson of JFK, and nephew of JFK Jr., to whom he bears more than a passing resemblance, is famous for his social media videos.
But recently, Jack Schlossberg made news of a different kind by saying his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is definitely running for president in 2028.
Schlossberg says RFK Jr. will build on Make America Healthy Again, otherwise known as his MAHA campaign, which has a devoted following. Most recently RFK got thousands of reactions by posting a video where he worked out with Kid Rock, in jeans, and including a dip in a cold plunge pool.
If he did decide to build on the popularity of his health credentials, it wouldn't be the first time he ran. RFK sought the presidency as an independent candidate in 2023 and later supported Donald Trump in 2024 when he droped out of his own race.
HIs support for Trump caused a rift in the storied family, with Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, Jack Kennedy Schlossberg's mother, publicly criticizing him. When Trump appointed RFK as secretary for the Department of Health, Caroline wrote an op-ed calling him "a predator" with "dangerous views."
Note that criticism doesn't fall far in the family tree because the younger Shlossberg made it clear he's not a fan of RFK as he predicts he'll seek the presidency next term.
““He’s going to run. He’s got a real following. Those MAHA guys and women are cultish about him. It doesn’t make sense what he says. I mean, I’ll give him credit for being a brilliant mythologizer. He’s good at what he’s doing," Schlossberg said.
Schlossberg is such a critic of his relative that on Halloween, he posted on Instagram a costume that mocked him, with the package saying the costume included 'measles,' sexual assault' and 'ending cancer research.' The fake packaging said 'blaming Jews for COVID' would be sold separately.
As for whether RFK Jr. is really planning to run again, his Hollywood wife Cheryl Hines said he won't seek the Oval Office next election cycle. But she did leave some wiggle room.
She added that she “didn’t think he was going to go into politics – and the next thing you know he’s telling me he wants to run.”
