Santa was enjoying some Southern California weather before his big day next week, as onlookers at Hermosa Beach got to see the big guy and one of his helpers shred some waves.
It’s a tradition that’s lasted for about six years at the South Bay BoardRiders Club. Not only does Santa take to the ocean, but he also has a toy drive that helps those in need in the area.
“It’s a super fun tradition in the south bay,” one onlooker shared.
As for Santa in a wet suit, he’s really Dr. Derek Levy, a local South Bay chiropractor and member of the local club who shared that it’s important to give back this time of the year.
“I miss the North Pole,” Levy said while “sweating” in the winter heat.
