Don't go looking for Hollywood to change 007 into a "Jane Bond".
The boss at the James Bond franchise Barbara Broccoli says that the character is a man, and it will always be a man. This comes as Daniel Craig's final Bond film is preparing to come out a week from Friday.
She told BBC 4 that there is NO talk of having a woman replace Craig in the role.
In fact, she says she's not even thinking about who will be the next James Bond until sometime next year because she wants to celebrate Daniel Craig for the rest of the year.
Meanwhile, fellow EON Productions head Michael G. Wilson said: "He’s (Craig) been such a great Bond. Those are big shoes to fill. I can’t even [think if it’s] possible."
The internet has been rife with rumors surrounding who will be next to join the illustrious ranks of Bond actors, with the likes of Tom Hardy, Henry Caville and Idris Elba amongst the most common suggestions.
