Severe storms that swept through North Texas overnight left behind major damage in Sanger, where overturned RVs and a battered distribution center marked the storm’s path.
At an RV park just west of Interstate 35, at least two RVs were knocked over by high winds. A large propane tanker was also flipped onto its top, while another was pushed onto its side. Despite the heavy damage, officials say no one was seriously hurt.
Cleanup efforts are being made more difficult by heavy rain pouring down Monday morning.
About half a mile away, the Walmart distribution center on the east side of I-35 also took a direct hit. The storm tore a massive hole in the side of the building. Walmart officials have not yet commented on the extent of the damage or whether operations have been disrupted.
