A teenage girl in Idaho has pleaded guilty to an attempted murder charge and could be sentenced to more than two decades in prison as a result.

Chloe Marks, 14, was charged as an adult after she allegedly aided in the shooting of her friend’s stepfather.

Her friend, 15-year-old Triston Arnzen, has also been charged as an adult but has pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder.

Arnzen was 14 at the time of the incident.

Prosecutors allege that the pair plotted together and shot George Hamblin Jr. after he told them they could not visit a local park. Both Hamblin and his daughter, Arnzen’s stepsister, were injured in the altercation.

While Arnzen awaits his day in court, Marks is set to be sentenced on February 23, 2023. She’s facing a maximum of 25 years in juvenile detention and prison.
