A new report has found that Democratic lawmakers, a part of the "Squad," who supported the "defund the police" movement, spent over $325,000 on private security in 2021.

Members of the "squad" include Rep. Cori Bush, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and Rep. Jamaal Bowman. All of whom have supported defunding the police.

The report comes from Fox News, which collected the information from the Federal Election Commission records.

According to the records, Bush was the biggest spender with her campaign, spending over $65,000 on private security during the fourth financial quarter and approximately $200,000 in 2021.

The Missouri Democrat shared in a CBS News interview last year that "defunding the police has to happen." Instead, she argued that money needs to be directed towards "social safety nets because we're trying to save lives."

Bush was asked about her spending on private security and possibly hypocrisy, to which she replied, "You would rather me die? Is that what you want to see? You want to see me die?"

Bush spent far more than the other squad members, but they still racked up hefty bills.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez reportedly fell short of spending $75,000 in 2021, Rep. Omar spent over $30,000, Rep. Pressley spent around $14,000, and Rep. Bowman spent $7,872.

In all, the squad has each shared their opinions and support of the defund the police movement following the death of George Floyd at the hands of then Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

Fox reached out to all six members of the "Squad" for comment, but they have not responded.
