(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — St. Patrick’s Day is still over one month away, but McDonald’s has decided that now’s the time to give its customers a lucky break: Shamrock Shakes season has begun, nearly two weeks earlier than it did in 2023.

The fast food giant announced that Shamrock Shakes and the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry will be available for purchase nationwide starting Monday.

Made with vanilla soft serve, mint syrup and whipped cream, Shamrock Shakes were first introduced in 1970.

The green-colored milkshakes have only grown in popularity, with Google Trends showing that searches for Shamrock Shakes have reached new highs in each of the past three years.

Earlier this year, McDonald’s dropped another limited item: the Double Big Mac, which, to no surprise, features twice the amount of beef sandwiched between a sesame seed bun.
