Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident Tuesday morning in southern California which required him to be extricated with the "jaws of life," according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
He is currently in the hospital being treated for "multiple leg injuries," according to his agent.
Woods was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard when he crashed his car in a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision.
His vehicle sustained major damage and Woods was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, released a statement which confirmed the extent of the injuries.
