Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are getting set to face off this week in their first debate since 2020, but Trump is suggesting that his opponent may be “jacked up” with drugs for the face-off.
The words from Trump were shared during his Saturday rally in Philadelphia, as he also claimed that Biden would get a “shot in the ass” before he came out for their debate.
Trump has often slammed Biden over his mental and physical abilities, often saying that he is a feeble old man and frequently hammering home on his age of 81.
In response to Trump’s comments, the Biden team has begun posting videos highlighting Trump’s strange remarks and verbal slip-ups.
However, Trump addressed these attacks during his speech, saying they are unfounded.
“The fake news will say, ‘Trump is rambling,’” he said. “No, it’s genius what I’m doing up here, but nobody understands.”
However, for months, Trump has made headlines with strange comments and quotes, including when he said the fictional character Hannibal Lecter, the infamous cannibal from “Silence of the Lambs,” was a “wonderful man.”
At the same rally where he made his Lecter comments, Trump also went after Biden for the indictments he’s facing, which he deemed “bullsh-t.”
Last week, while speaking in Racine, Wisconsin, he doubled back on comments that he had made about Milwaukee being “horrible.”
He also praised Wisconsin and said he prefers Lake Michigan to the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans because the lake didn’t have sharks.
“I’ll take the one without sharks,” he said.
But while some have criticized Trump over his remarks, Trump’s deputy campaign manager for operations, Justin Caporale, shared with Reuters that he is looking to perform for his supporters.
“We are essentially producing rock concerts inside of a week, and we’re doing it multiple times a month,” Caporale said.
