Theme parks have had to shut down in the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
So when can you put on some Micky Mouse ears and hang out at Disneyland? Or LEGOLAND?
We have an ongoing list of theme park reopenings in California now that most counties in California are in the red tier including LA and OC counties.
Additionally, some theme parks, like Six Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita, is actually reopening earlier than others.

Gilroy Gardens also reopens May 22
"Gilroy Gardens is excited to announce our 2021 Opening Day – May 22!" according to its website.
There is more information on the other theme parks across the state including LEGOLAND and SeaWorld in San Diego and Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif.
KNOTT'S BERRY FARM:
Knott's Berry Farm has said on its website that it plans to reopen in May but no specific date has been given yet.
"As we look forward to reopening our gates, we still have some work to do. From hiring and training new associates to working with Government officials on finalizing guidelines, we will work hard to ensure that we can reopen our park safely for all to enjoy. Our plan is to welcome you back to Knott’s Berry Farm this May," it said on its website. Currently, the Taste of Boysenberry Festival is underway.
LEGOLAND THEME PARK:
When it comes to Legoland theme park in San Diego, it remains closed. But the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel reopened in February. According to its website "Beginning Friday, February 12, 2021 the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel will reopen in line with the state of California’s reopening safety guidelines. The LEGOLAND California theme park, water parks, and SEA LIFE® aquarium remain closed until further notice."
SEAWORLD SAN DIEGO:
According go the SeaWorld website, it is operating as a zoo right now.
"SeaWorld is operating as a licensed and accredited zoo. Reservations are required to manage capacity for the health and safety of our guests and to comply with state and local governmental requirements. Rides and rollercoasters are temporarily closed at this time due to current State of California COVID-19 guidelines. SeaWorld’s indoor and outdoor animal attractions are open in addition to world-famous Dolphin, Sea Lion and Orca Encounter educational animal presentations with physically-distanced seating," the website said.
SIX FLAGS DISCOVERY KINGDOM:
The theme park will reopen to the general public April 3 but to members and season holders April 1 and 2, according to news reports including CBS Sacramento.
RAGING WATERS LOS ANGELES:
Located in San Dimas, its website says it will reopen May 22.
