Houston Texans Pry Randall Cobb Away From Dallas On A 3-Year Deal

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Houston Texans have signed former Dallas Cowboys wideout Randall Cobb to a three-year $27 million deal to help replace DeAndre Hopkins.

Cobb will have $18.75 million in guaranteed money.

After just one year as a key part of the Dallas offense, Cobb had 55 receptions on 83 targets averaging 15.1 yards per reception and catching three touchdowns. 

Dallas will now have to find a way to replace Cobb through either free agency or the draft, in order to replace his production from the slot position. 

Cobb, who was set to reunite with new Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, will now move south to Houston and play with young star quarterback DeShaun Watson in Houston's dynamic offense. 

With the void left open from Hopkins's departure, the Texans have helped solidify their receiving corps for next season. 

With free agency still in full swing, the Texans might not be done adding to the receiver position anytime soon.
