DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - According to a report from FOX NFL's Jay Glazer, the Houston Texans have agreed to parameters to send star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a third-round pick, pass-rusher Barkevious Mingo, and linebacker Jacob Martin.

Scoopage: SEA & HOU have agreed to trade parameters re: Jadeveon Clowney contingent upon Clowney & other players involved passing physicals. Still lot of moving parts but believed Clowney, who rejected going to Miami at first, is headed for his physical with Hawks. @NFLONFOX

The move comes just days after an apparent rift between the Texans and Clowney over a contract extension and the Texans willingness to explore trade offers for the defensive end.

Clowney, who was the Texan's number one overall draft pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, has had his issues staying on the field early in his career with Houston, playing in just 62 of a possible 80 games over the last five seasons.

That said, Clowney has only missed three games total games in the last three seasons with Houston and has one of the most dominant and disruptive defensive players in the NFL over that time.

In his career with Houston, Clowney has accumulated 205 tackles, 29 sacks, 64 tackles for loss, and 67 quarterback hits from his pass rusher position in the Texans 3-4 defense.

The Texans will now have to find a way to replace Clowney's production, with the oft-injured J.J. Watt left alone as the anchor of the Houston defense.

Mingo, who was a talented pass rusher in his own right coming out of LSU in the 2013 NFL Draft, has become of a journeyman of sorts after spending the first three years of his career in Cleveland.

The trade to Houston will move Mingo to his fourth team in four seasons, and the fifth team of his career. Mingo has 198 tackles, 10 sacks, 24 tackles for loss, and 31 quarterback hits heading into his seventh season.
