Health organizations have declared a national emergency concerning children's mental health. Approximately 9.5% — or roughly 1 in 10 — U.S. high school students reported attempting suicide in the past year, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Youth Risk Behavior Survey.
