San Francisco (95.7 The Game) - Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers will get a big boost on offense in Week 3, as tight end George Kittle will make his season debut against the Broncos on Sunday night. Kittle missed the first two games of the season due to a groin injury.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan Friday that Kittle won't be limited in the contest.
“He’s good to go. I thought he got better each day,” Shanahan said. “He means a ton in both [the run game and the pass game]. Kittle’s been one of our better players here over the years. When he’s out there, he’s a huge deal for us. We’ve got to get him back into football shape and stuff because he hasn’t played in a little bit. But he helps us in every facet we do.”
Kittle is coming off a season where he had 71 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games.
