A few weeks ago, 49ers tight end George Kittle told a reporter from TMZ that a post-football career with WWE “sounds fun.”

Well, on Saturday evening, Kittle got to make a cameo with former NFL punter and popular media personality Pat McAfee during WWE’s annual Wrestlemania showcase, which was held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Kittle was sitting in the front row when he got roped into the action by The Miz, clotheslining him before McAfee went all out with a flip from the turnbuckle.

First of all, what a move by McAfee. That takes some serious guts. Kittle’s cameo was all right, but nothing too crazy.

Afterwards, The Miz used social media to go on a rant about Kittle and how he’d never draft him in fantasy football.

Kittle is only 29 and scored a career-high 11 touchdowns last year, so his retirement is still a few years off, but a transition to WWE seems natural given his personality, love of wrestling and physique. The Miz made the flip from MTV reality TV star to WWE, so there’s no reason to think The People’s Tight End can’t make the leap from the NFL to WWE.
