Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is reportedly wanted to attempted murder.
The Washington Post in Miami reviewed a warrant in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The charge comes from a shooting during a May celebrity boxing event in Miami. Brown was detained for a time after the shooting on May 16.
An officer said he saw Brown and another man in a physical confrontation, with people around telling police Brown was the shooter.
Brown said on “X” the day after the shooting, “I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.
He added he was released after police “received my side of the story.”
The warrant states that video shows Brown taking gun from a security officer and “running toward the man he had punched.”
Video from a cell phone also shows a man avoiding gun shots, as Brown walks toward the victim.
Brown has been involved in several civil and legal matters over the past several years.
The 36-year-old played in Pittsburgh with the Steelers for nine seasons from 2010 until he was traded to the Raiders after the 2018 season.
The Fan Morning Show reacted to the news.
“You saw the trends, it doesn’t shock me at all,” said Dorin Dickerson.
