Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - After pouring resources into the defensive end position over the past several years and trying to find an elite pass rusher, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane finally landed one.
The Bills announced Wednesday evening the signing of free agent pass rusher Von Miller to a six-year contract. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport was first to report the signing, and says the deal is worth $120 million.
Miller, 32, leads all active NFL players in career sacks with 115.5. He's an eight-time Pro Bowler, a three-time All Pro, and has won two Super Bowl championships, including this past season with the Los Angeles Rams. He was also named Super Bowl 50 MVP while a member of the Denver Broncos.
Miller will be turning 33-years-old in just 10 days on March 26.
Shortly after the reports of Miller signing with the Bills, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported Buffalo was also adding tight end O.J. Howard. The Bills confirmed that report, announcing a one-year deal with the 27-year-old.
Howard was a first round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2017 NFL Draft, but failed to live up to expectations through five seasons there. His best season came in 2018 when he caught 34 passes for 565 yards and five touchdowns.
