Former NFL wide receiver turned media lightning rod Brandon Marshall is a big time believer in the Washington Commanders.
Marshall likes the San Francisco 49ers (10-4), Philadelphia Eagles (12-1) and Dallas Cowboys (10-3) as the favorites to win the NFC Championship but believes the Washington Commanders (7-5-1) could be ripe to make a surprise run as a dark horse.

"I like the Philadelphia Eagles. I like the Dallas Cowboys, Kay. Those three teams — and I also like the Commanders," Marshall told Kay Adams on FanDuelTV's "Up & Adams" program on Friday. "I think the Commanders could be the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers."
The Steelers throttled the Seahawks 21-10 in Super Bowl XL, Ben Roethlisberger's second NFL season.
"[They're] sitting at 7-5 and then all of a sudden they go into your place, Chicago, Soldier Field. They whoop up on the Bears," Marshall explained. "And then they go on this legendary run and then they find themselves in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks and they win the Super Bowl."
"I say that because there's always one dark horse every year, one team that we never thought would do it," he said. "The Cincinnati Bengals. Did we think the Cincinnati Bengals would be in the Super Bowl last year? So in the NFC, those are the four teams that I like. I'm not saying the Commanders are as good as the other teams, but it's about who's going to get hot right now?"
"I'm just reveling in the clickbait that you just gave me," Adams replied, "for saying that the Commanders are gonna win the Super Bowl. I love you for that."
If you've got as much faith in the Commanders as Marshall does, you better book your tickets to Glendale, Arizona, the site of Super Bowl LVII in February.
