"Bring Y'Ass" goes viral and now Explore Minnesota is using Anthony Edwards callout to Charles Barkley

On Sunday night's postgame, Barkley said he hasn't been to Minneapolis in 20 years so Edwards welcomed him

Explore Minnesota, the state's tourism engine, is capitalizing on the success of the Minnesota Timberwolves in a new, if slightly not-safe-for-work way.
After the win in Denver on Sunday night, Charles Barkley was interviewing Anthony Edwards after the Wolves Game 7 victory in Denver.

"I have not been to Minnesota in probably 20 years," Barkley said on the TNT postgame show.

Edwards had a quick, and now very viral response: "Bring your ass."

That phrase, yes, bring your ass, is now being used to invite people to the state. BringYaAss.com actually redirects people to Explore Minnesota's site.

Explore Minnesota's Chris Morgan says they were actually watching the game, heard that come out of Edwards' mouth, and went into action.

"Because we're a state agency, we can't just do whatever we want whenever we want," says Morgan. "So we had to go through the chain of command. So, you know, we've been working since late last night and early this morning to make sure that if we did something, we did it the proper way and also in a way that reflects our values and our goals."

Barkley went on to ask Edwards for restaurant recommendations while he's in Minneapolis for TNT's broadcasts which Edwards said he would take care of. But the internet took over quickly with multiple suggestions for where he should eat. That includes WCCO Radio's Jason DeRusha, celeb chefs like Bobby Flay.

Even Governor Tim Walz, who went the Jucy Lucy route recommending The Nook and Matt's Bar, and Secretary of State Steve Simon chimed in.

Game 1 against the Dallas Mavericks is Wednesday night at Target Center, so if you're out and about grabbing a bit, look for Sir Charles.

It came fast, and it's leaving fast, but Minnesota company SotaStick has three t-shirts available for purchase. They're doing a limited run of "Bring Ya Ass" shirts.

"Order by midnight to guarantee your order. We will close it down tomorrow and print and ship as fast as we can," they said in a tweet on X.
