With the Washington Commanders fighting for their season, star defensive end Chase Young is ready to make his 2022 debut Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Young has missed all 14 regular-season games this season as he's been slow to recover from a torn ACL he suffered in Nov. 2021, which led to offseason surgery.

Young finally demonstrated the confidence in his leg that the coaching staff has been looking for in practice on Thursday.

Young will stick to a 'pitch count,' according to Washington head coach Ron Rivera, suggesting he will only play in a limited amount of snaps.

The Commanders (7-6-1) meet the 49ers (10-4) in San Francisco on Saturday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
