Dax Milne and Zach Wilson are involved in the most confusing story on the internet

I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you. I've read this headline so many times and still don't know what any of it means.

There are so many degrees of separation that it just doesn't compute.

But here's what The Sports Junkies had to say about the ordeal, purportedly involving New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne (who were college teammates) and apparently a whole bunch of other people.

For context — as much as I can muster, anyway — Wilson and Milne were teammates at BYU and were both drafted in 2021, Wilson by the Jets in the first round and Milne by the Commanders in the seventh round, because somehow this story has something to do with sports.

JP: What do you make of Dax Milne's Instagram post?

EB: Which is...?

JP: So Dax Milne, people are assuming... this might be just a whole mix-up. People are assuming that Dax Milne is with the ex-girlfriend of Zach Wilson, and a lot of people are reading into a picture which he put on Instagram... but it's not confirmed that that is indeed Zach Wilson's ex-girl.

Bish: Because you don't see the face.

JP: You do not see the face. I think people are assuming based on the figure and the body, but what if it's a totally different chick?

EB: I mean, I guess it's possible. It looks like he's disabled comments.

JP: But what did he write underneath it? He wrote something.

EB: Word on the street?

JP: Yeah, what does that mean? There's a word on the street? Like is he trying to debunk it?

Drab: Well, it all started from a TikTok from I think someone from Barstool, who broke it down, and I think there was prior evidence that they had been dating, Dax Milne and this chick. And they don't follow each other on Instagram anymore.

Bish: But the girl apparently confirmed that they were dating.

Drab: Right.

EB: Listen, here's what I would say. I think in high school, that's fine. High school kids date each other. I think once you go to college and you're boys, I think that's where you've crossed the line.

Hopefully that made more sense to you than it did to me.
