Derek Brunson – who's never faced Velasquez in the ring – announced 50% of the proceeds from his "Free Cain Velasquez" t-shirts would go to support Velasquez's legal fees. The shirts cost $27.99 and are available at Brunson's website in white, heather gray, royal blue, red and military green.

"This is the kind of stuff I just won't stay silent on! Let's pick up this fight for my man while he's locked down," the product description said.

Cain was taken into custody this week after a shooting in San Jose where he was reportedly targeting a man charged with molesting a close relative who attended an in-home daycare where the man lived. Police said the MMA legend shot the man at Monterey Highway and Bailey Avenue on Monday.

The victim was treated at a nearby hospital for non-life threating injuries.

The shooting happened just three days after the same man was arraigned on the molestation charges, according to multiple reports.

About 100 supporters of Cain showed at San Jose's Hall of Justice on Wednesday for his court appearance, which was continued until March 7, as reported by KTVU. Shirts that read "#FreeCain" were handed out at the rally.
