Through three quarters Wednesday night in Detroit, it looked like the Pistons might just end their month-long losing streak.

But things fell apart in the fourth, as Memphis pulled away for a 116-102 win, sending the Pistons to their 18th straight loss.

Detroit held a 2-point lead heading into the final quarter, but Desmond Bane scored 13 of his 49 points to keep the Pistons winless since before Halloween. Former Michigan State Spartan Xavier Tillman had 24.

Bojan Bogdanovic put up 22 points in his second game back from injury, while Cade Cunningham finished with 16 on 6-of-14 shooting. He went 0-for-3 from the field – all from 3-point range – in the fourth quarter.

Detroit will look to finally find the win column again on Friday night at Orlando. The Magic, who began their rebuild at roughly the same time as the Pistons, recently found themselves on the opposite end of the spectrum, winning nine in a row before losing their last two.
