Dan Campbell and the Lions are at risk of losing another key piece of their offensive staff.

The Ravens are interviewing Lions wide receivers coach and assistant head coach Scottie Montgomery for their vacant offensive coordinator position, per NFL Network. Montgomery, who has been with the Lions since 2023, plays a key role in devising the team's offensive game plan each week.

Core players for Detroit like Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams and even David Montgomery have made big strides under Scottie Montgomery's watch.

This season, the Lions were the only NFL team with two 1,000-yard receivers in Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown, despite Williams' slow start under former OC John Morton. And when Montgomery was coaching the running backs over the prior two seasons, Gibbs and David Montgomery became the top rushing tandem in the league, earning their Sonic and Knuckles' fame.

Scottie Montgomery does not have any experience as an NFL coordinator or play-caller, so he might not be the Ravens' top choice for the job. New head coach Jesse Minter, who replaced John Harbaugh, is also reportedly eying former Commanders OC and former Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury and Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady for the OC job in Baltimore.

Both Kingsbury and Brady have also interviewed for head coaching jobs this offseason.

If Montgomery departs, he'd be the sixth subtraction from Campbell's offensive staff over the past two offseasons after former OC Ben Johnson took two coaches with him to Chicago and former DC Aaron Glenn took two two coaches with him to New York.
