Thanks to a terrific effort on defense and a couple big plays on special teams, the Lions took care of the Browns, 34-10 Sunday at Ford Field. The Lions' third straight win moves them to 3-1 on the season.

Detroit's defense forced three takeaways on interceptions by Kerby Joseph and DJ Reed and a strip-sack by Aidan Hutchinson, one of the Lions' three sacks of Joe Flacco.

Both Reed's interception late in the second quarter and Hutchinson's strip sack late in the fourth quarter, which was recovered by Trevor Nowaske, set up the Lions deep in Cleveland territory.

The offense capitalized on both occasions with touchdown passes from Jared Goff to Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The Lions otherwise struggled to move the ball for most of the day against the Browns' No. 1-ranked defense. Kalif Raymond sparked Detroit in the fourth quarter with a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown. Kicker Jake Bates also came through with a 58-yard field goal late in the first half to give the Lions a 20-7 lead at the break.

It was a costly game for the Lions on the injury front, however. Both of their starting cornerbacks left the game and did not return. Reed went down with a with non-contact leg injury in the fourth quarter and was carted off the field. Terrion Arnold injured his shoulder making a tackle in run support in the third quarter.
