Jameson Williams is locked into the Lions' future.
Williams and the Lions have agreed to a three-year, $83 million extension, with $67 million guaranteed, that ties him to Detroit through the 2029 season.
The deal is a win for both sides, giving Williams one of the highest guarantees ever for a wide receiver and the security of a long-term deal, and giving the Lions a secured price on a receiver whose value is only rising. Williams is now the 13th highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, between Jaylen Waddle and D.J. Moore.
Williams, who missed significant time over his first two seasons due to injuries and a suspension, is coming off his first 1,000-yard season in the NFL. As he enters his age-24 season, he looks ready to push the bar even higher.
The 24-year-old is the sixth draft pick of the Lions under Brad Holmes to earn a long-term deal with the team, joining Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, Kerby Joseph, Alim McNeill and Derrick Barnes. Aidan Hutchinson is next in line.
