Jameson Williams, a man of the people.

During a recent stop at a convenience store somewhere in Detroit, the star receiver for the Lions came across an older man buying food -- so Jamo paid for it himself. The man had Doritos, Hot Pockets, beef jerky and "a Red Bull for every day of the week" among a variety of snacks.

"I love you, Unc. Stay safe out here, man," Williams told him. "It's on me. It's on Waymo! It's on Waymo!!"

Williams, 23, has embraced Detroit since arriving as a first-round pick of the Lions in 2022. He's participated in turkey drives and coat drives for families in need. He attends local high school football games. He considers this "part of our job and what we do it for, it’s for the city."

"I treat ‘em like family," Williams said last month. "I don’t treat ‘em like nobody different. I interact with the fans, I love the fans. I love everybody who loves me and loves Detroit football. They’re behind us, so I’m behind them."
