Jared Goff said no to Netflix in 2023. A year later he said yes.
After declining to be featured on the hit show 'Quarterback' that follows the lives of NFL signal-callers over the course of a season when Netflix first asked him ahead of the 2023 campaign, Goff accepted a role in 2024 and will be one of three stars in Season 2 of the docuseries that comes out this summer.
Goff will be featured along with the Falcons' Kirk Cousins, who was also chronicled in Season 1, and the Bengals' Joe Burrow. The show will follow Goff over the course of the 2024 season, when the Lions won a franchise record 15 games and Goff was a finalist for MVP, but Detroit lost its first playoff game to the Commanders when Goff committed four turnovers.
The show comes out in July.
'Quarterback' is back for Season 2 after Netflix pivoted to 'Receiver' last year, which featured Amon-Ra St. Brown in addition to Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel.
