The Red Wings are bringing back an old look to celebrate their Centennial season: Hockeytown is back at center ice.
After holding a fan vote to determine the center ice logo for the upcoming season, the Red Wings announced Friday that the 'Hey Hey Hockeytown' design was the clear favorite.

"Fans have made it clear they’re fired up for what’s to come in celebrating 100 years of Hockeytown, which is only possible due to their unwavering support for the Winged Wheel," said Asia Gholston, Senior VP of Brand Marketing for Ilitch Sports + Entertainment.
The 'Hey Hey Hockeytown' logo pays homage to a century of rich hockey tradition in Detroit, where the Red Wings have won 11 Stanley Cups. But they'll enter next season trying to snap a franchise-worst nine-year playoff drought.
Single-game tickets for the upcoming season are on sale now.
