The Tigers stand with Detroit, and Detroit can't stand Aaron Rodgers. Been that way since the former Packers quarterback started tormenting the Lions and didn't stop for basically 15 years. He went 18-8 with a passer rating of 105.1 against Detroit during his time in Green Bay.
So any jab at Rodgers is well-received around these parts, especially when it comes from the team across the street from Ford Field. The Tigers couldn't during Sunday's win over the Brewers at Comerica Park when the video board asked a simple question as part of a fan contest between innings: Who had the most completions last season: Aaron Rodgers or Jalen Reeves-Maybin?
Rodgers, of course, tore his Achilles on the fourth snap of his debut with the Jets and was done for the season. He failed to complete the only pass he attempted. Reeves-Maybin, the Lions linebacker, completed a pass for a 30-yard gain on a fake punt in Detroit's loss to the Cowboys in Week 17.
It was a fun afternoon all around at Comerica Park, as the Tigers smoked the first-place Brewers to salvage the finale of the three-game series.
