The Houston Astros made their first visit to Los Angeles, with fans, since the sign-stealing scandal broke and Dodgers fans took the opportunity to relentlessly taunt the team.

While the boos and taunts are nothing new for the 2021 Astros, Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers took things a step further as inflatable trash cans were tossed onto the field — multiple times.

The first instance came in the first inning when a can made its way onto the warning track in right field from the bleachers.

It happened again during Jose Altuve’s second at-bat of the game when one was tossed onto the warning track in left field.

Fans were also throwing foul balls hit by Astros players back onto the field.

Things were so intense that the Dodger Stadium PA announcer interrupted a Carlos Correa at-bat in the third inning to warn fans that abusive behavior, foul language and throwing objects on the field would result in ejection. The announcement was met with a chorus of boos.

The worst of it, though, came in the stands as Dodger fans threw trash at a nearby Astros fan wearing a “0 F—givin” jersey, which resulted in an altercation. TMZ Sports obtained video of the incident.

The Dodgers lost to the Astros in seven games in the 2017 World Series and LA fans have been among the most harsh toward the Astros.

The bad blood does not just extend from there, either. Last year, with fans absent from ballparks, Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly exchanged words with Correa after an at-bat that led to the benches clearing and some shouting back-and-forth, further fueling the rivalry.

A large contingent of Dodgers fans traveled to Houston earlier this year when Los Angeles was playing the Astros on the road in order to taunt and jeer Astros players — and in some cases, fans — in their home park.

Astros players have come to expect this kind of behavior from fans, but reliever Ryne Stanek, who was not on the 2017 team, spoke out against some of the behavior he witnessed on Tuesday.

The Astros got the last laugh, though, winning the game 3-0.
