The location was apparently near the Catatumbo River in Columbia, Venezuela.

The location is famous for its “Catatumbo lightning” where storms happen on a nightly basis.

ESPN Saints reporter Katherine Terrell says in a tweet, “he’s good and that he did not get struck by lightning.

The sports book sent out the following statement.

“We are aware of the media coverage regarding PointsBet brand ambassador Drew Brees. We are in communication with Brees’ team and will continue to monitor events throughout the coming hours. At this stage we will not be making any further comment.”

Luckily it appears Brees is okay after the disturbing video
