New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is prepared to help educate Miami Heat big-man Meyers Leonard after a video surfaced of him using an anti-Semitic slur during a Twitch stream.

Wednesday, the former Super Bowl MVP tweeted out an open letter to Leonard:

The Heat announced Tuesday evening that Leonard won't be with the team for an indefinite period as the NBA investigates what appeared to be Leonard using the K-word while playing Call of Duty.

Leonard acknowledged using the word Tuesday, and issued the following apology:

The 29-year-old was already out for the season after having a procedure on his left shoulder last month. His use of the aforementioned slur makes his future in the league uncertain as a whole, especially since the Heat have a $10.152 club option on him for the 2021-22 season.
